MSO was very busy this past year and we want to proudly share just a few of our accomplishments:
Main Street Orion received news that nearly $174,000 was awarded to Orion for streetscape improvements in the business district. MSO spearheaded the effort to develop the plan and received a grant in 2005 to design the schematic.  Working in cooperation with the Village, the plan has been revised several times. Work should be done this year!
We successfully took on the task of providing Orion Fall Festival with varied entertainment
       during Labor Day weekend for the second year.
In 2010, two businesses received a Main Street Orion grant to improve the outside façade of their business, making the business district more attractive.
Our Facebook presence has grown to nearly 600 fans with updates every three to five days.

We are excited to tell you that 2011 is shaping up to be another banner year!  We plan to continue assisting Orion’s businesses by paying part of their interest on business loans through the CIBP program.  The Façade Improvement Grant Program has also been renewed! We plan to continue offering quality entertainment in Central Park throughout the summer with movies and concerts, as well as providing entertainment during Labor Day weekend. We will continue with other popular events such as the Village Garage Sale Day, Daddy Daughter Dance, Halloween Hustle, and Saturday with Santa.  As a business member your name will be displayed at these events.  Yes, 2011 will be busy, exciting, and fun-filled!

Please take note of some of the benefits you will receive as a 2011 Main Street Orion business member:
•Only Main Street Orion businesses can redeem Main Street Orion Gift Certificates. To date nearly $6,500 worth of certificates have been sold, helping keep consumers’ dollars in Orion.
•You may be eligible to apply for reduced interest business loans through the
Cooperative Interest Buydown Program (CIBP)
•Members may be eligible to apply for Façade Improvement Grants
•Your business will be featured on the MSO website, including your link if desired
•Business names are printed on MSO promotional materials throughout the year
•MSO businesses are showcased in the Main Street Orion Window on 4th St.
•Your business will be part of the “Shop Orion First” campaign encouraging and
educating customers to shop in Orion
•Your business will be the first one targeted to supply MSO purchases or host MSO    events
•You will receive a 2011 Member Certificate and membership window cling
•You will get 2 free ice cream cones during our summer concert series
•You may use our Facebook page for promotions, news, etc. about your business
